Work-in-Progress Wednesday

Just a quick update today - after enjoying a holiday Monday, I find myself very behind on my chores for the week!

My Ravellenic Scarf, a Clapotis from handspun silk mawatas, has stalled. I guess I just got a bit bored with it. But I'm determined to finish it; if not by the end of the Olympics, then definitely by the end of the Special Olympics. And to make sure that happens, I promise to knit monongamously on that project only. Cross my heart, hope to die.

While ignoring the Clapotis I cast on a pair of socks for my year of projects and have become entirely obsessed with using every last bit of leftover sock yarn in my stash. So far there's more than a dozen different yarns in this sock. It's making a really thick, warm and colourful sock. Perfect for padding around in stocking feet on a cold winter morning! And yes, if you're wondering, I do expect it will take hours to weave in all those ends.

What about you? What are you working on today? Why not join up with the gang at Tami's Amis on this Work-in-Progress Wednesday?

Oh I love the colors you've chosen for those socks.

I have so many works in progress... knitted robe and shawl, crochet and knitted amigurumi dolls, and I'm teaching my daughter crochet. ;)

It looks great. I love the pattern. I am trying to hammer out a hat. But I am having a hard time remaining faithful to it.

Wow, that sock is as breathtaking as the mitts you recently finished, stunning! Good luck with the end of your race, hope you get inspired again, although with those adorable socks, I would also get side-tracked!!

Just thinking about all those ends has me terrified, but it is totally worth it because the socks are stunning so far!

The socks are gorgeous ! Trust you to find a beautiful pattern and a way to use up all the sock yarn ends .

I'll be working on Mason's sweater today . I'm almost at the decreases for the sleeves on the front . Slow but sure , I might actually get this done ....

I love the colors in your Clapotis! And your socks are amazing as usual.

I have a ton of ends to weave in on my striped pullover so I feel your pain...

Love your socks! They look so comfy. Good luck with the weaving in ends part. That is my least favorite part of knitting/crocheting.

I had to look up what a mawatas was. It looks like a very cool technique. And I'm in love with your socks. I don't envy all those ends, but it so worth the effort. They are gorgeous. And giving me idea on what I can do with my basket of leftover sock ends :)
