Work-in-Progress Wednesday
It's September now, so it's time for some discipline about my knitting, starting with this long-time wip. It's Smitten (a Holiday Garland) and I've neglected it for several weeks. But no more. Last night I cast on a fourteenth mitten in purple. If I can make three or four of these little mittens a day for the next few days - and that seems pretty do-able - then I can finish it up this weekend. Although I still need some sort of plan about how to number the individual mittens.
Later today I think I'll cast on another Miranda hat. Before the end of the month I need to send a bunch to a shelter in New York State and to a school in Connecticut. Maybe I can work through a whole whack of acrylic worsted in my stash this week?
Lots going on all around blogland. As usual on a Wednesday, check the links at Tami's Amis!

I love the small mittens. They're so cute :)
Very cute! How many more do you have to make and do you string them when you get done?
Hi! They are very cute!
Are they for Christmas?
Wowzers! That's gonna be a lot of knitting.
Could you embroider the numbers in a contrasting yarn color? That would bust the stash a little more.
So very cute! :-)
Adore those mittens, such a sweet idea, only ten more to go!

"Cor Blimey you must be a quick knitting". I am constantly amazed at how much knitting other people can get done.
You can do it!
I'm not very good with embroidery, so and easy way to number would be you could cut felt numbers and glue them on, or use puffy paint
Such a pretty pile of mittens!! Small goals are the way to go!! That's the only way I make any progress :)
The garland is going to be really adorable. There are some really great tutorials online for duplicate stitch and embroidery on knits. Either would be a fun way to number them.
I love the mitten garland idea, very satisfying knits and useful in the end!
I've had Smitten in my Ravelry queue forever but have yet to get to it. I'm sure yours will be awesome!
They are wonderfully cute! I need to get up off my arse and CO a third Miranda hat.
