Work-in-Progress Wednesday

With the Ravellenic Games starting in just two days, the pressure's on to finish these socks. My goal yesterday was to finish the colourwork on the leg of the second sock, and I've managed that. Just. It was nearly midnight before I crept up to bed last night after the final colourwork round.

The nice thing is that the remainder of the knitting is just one colour. So I'm still hoping to finish these in time for a Finished Object Friday post. So today's goal is to complete the heel and work to at least halfway through the gusset decreases.

What about you? Are you looking forward to the Olympic opening ceremonies on Friday?

As always on a Wednesday, I'm linking up with the gang at Tami's Amis. Go look to see what everyone else is up to!

Your socks look terrific! I have yet to try to crochet myself a pair, although in Maine in the winter you can never have too many socks!

Love the socks. Nice gentle colours.

I am a bit worried about the opening ceremony, but am hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Maybe opening ceremonies just aren't my kind of thing.

Did see the torch go past the end of my road yesterday? Hubby was so busy watching its progress on the internet he missed the real thing.

I'm hoping to get my yarn out of boxed in enough time to properly start my project for the games......but I'm having to admit that this may or may not happen. Oh well.....

I love EVERYTHING British so, yeah ... really, REALLY looking forward to the games and especially those slice of life stories they always have. I'm a shameless royal watcher. Looking forward to that part too.

AND --- we have quite a few Florida Olympians --- so, what can I say -- GO GATORS!

Oh wow, those are amazing socks. Awesome, awesome colourwork.

And I'm so excited for the opening ceremonies. While I'm not usually interested in sporting events at all, I've always been a big Olympics fan.

Super sock work. The make a fine looking pair I hope you're happy with them. I have no doubt that you'll finish by Friday. Although I'm not participating in the Revellenics, I'll be watching the opening ceremony and lots of events.
