Maybe you noticed that I haven't had much to say lately about the socks that I've been working on? There's a reason for that. I've screwed up the second sock, not once but TWICE. The first time I had finished the twenty rounds of cuff and was just preparing to do the increase round that begins the leg when I noticed a problem in round three - blame it on dark yarn and bad light. RIP! The second time it was exactly the same spot - just as I was reading the directions for the increase round I realized that I had K2P3 instead of K2P2 for the rib sections that transition into the shell pattern. RIP! After the first screw up I was annoyed at myself and put the project aside for a few days. After the second screw up I was so annoyed that I decided to start over and keep knitting until I had knit all the way back to that increase round. And now finally, the second sock is well under way.

As of now I've completed six of the eleven pattern repeats before the heel. And barring any more screw ups this pair of socks will DEFINITELY be completed in the next few days. It just has to be! After all I have start-itis in the worst way and I'm not sure how much longer I can control myself before casting on another pair of socks.

What sock is up next?

I love your little peppermint stitch marker.

I'm right there with you on frogging. I made a mistake on my newest sock. Fixed that. Then *somehow* got a stitch twisted around oddly and couldn't figure out HOW to fix it. FROGGED AGAIN.

Now I think I'm FINALLY making progress.

Your sock looks GREAT!

Your st marker is too cute!
I am so sorry you had to rip back twice! How frustrating. I am sure third time's the charm.

I am so envious of all your lovely socks--this pair especially! I feel your ripping pain as I have spent much time doing the same thing. I agree with everyone else about your stitch marker, it is adorable.

I hate it when knits don't play nicely.
I'm fighting the startitis too!

It must be ripping socks week. I don't have a mistake to correct, but the socks I'm making still don't fit their intended-- even though I've now gone up both needle sizes and stitch count! At this point, I'm thinking of changing feet to avoid ripping again.

Your socks look beautiful... and if you end up casting on a pair while these are in time out, the world won't end :)

Oh that stresses me out when the dark yarn and the poor lighting combine. The socks look lovely so far, though - the green is definitely worth it!

Oh! I'm SO glad I am not alone....my yarn is actually dingy because it's been "re-knitted" so many times! LOL!
I love your sock pattern and the color. They're GORGEOUS!
