Work-in-progress Wednesday

There's a second Hermoine's Everyday sock languishing on the needles while, for the past couple of days, I've been playing with ideas in red and white for my Canada Day swap. It's a secret, and my swap partner has acknowledged lurking for hints on my blog, so this is as much as I'm going to say for now.

The knitting is resting on my new custom made console table. It's solid cherry and it's absolutely gorgeous. I feel like we finally have an "adult" piece of furniture instead of a mismatched flea market find. But here's the problem: now that I see how lovely it looks, I want to get rid of the rest of my old furniture. Yeah, maybe if I win the lottery!

Just a quick little post today as I have to run off now to take our cat to the vet. She's developed a bald patch below her left eye. It doesn't look like a scratch, it's not weepy or scabby or red or swollen, she's an indoor cat so it's not likely a bit or a parasite, so maybe it's nothing. But better safe than sorry, right?

You know the drill, right? Click the link for Tami's Amis to see all the other WIP Wednesday updates!

Love the color you are using for the socks. I keep looking at that pattern thinking I may one day knit it.

There's something so wonderful about a good, new piece of furniture, isn't there?!

I hope the putty feels better soon.

Yikes, I think that might happen to me too when I get some decent furniture!

Ooooooh, new furniture IS nice. I know what you mean though, since furniture is so expensive try new pillows or curtains instead :) Can't wait to see your swap knit.

Oh wow you are so mean to tease your swap partner like that. But I am sure she will love what you knit up!

i know how you feel about the furniture- i want to paint my walls, but I think it will just make the couch look even dingier!

hope kitty is okay!

I wish the person who's name I have in a swap had a blog so I could find out a bit more about her. I'm doing this through a group on yahoo, you know the old style mail group thing.

We tried having "grown-up" furniture but that failed miserably with our ruff and tumble children (and husband helping them). After they broke our second couch I refuse to get new furniture until they are all grown and out :)

Hope Kitty is okay!

We are sort of at the same place furniture wise. I bought a good kitchen nook table and chairs. Now I want to redo the bedroom with real furniture.

I can't wait to see your swap items. Its so hard to finish swap items and you can't immediately share them with everyone! I hope your cat feels better soon. :]

I love that red! I can never get good photographs of red yar, it always tries to go radioactive, lol. :)
