work in progress Wednesday

It's about time I finish one or both of these projects on needles. They're both starting to feel interminable. I've just been too busy over the last few days to get much done.

At the back is my (w)rapped pullover. The back is knit and the front has just a couple of inches left until the armhole shaping begins. I expect I can get the knitting of this pullover done by the end of the week, but for the sewing up I'll need good light  so that'll probably wait for the weekend.

In front are my Tardis socks. Sock one is done and has been for more than a week but I've stalled on sock two - I turned the heel last weekend and started the gusset decreases and then put it aside in favour of the pullover. My plan is to work on these monogamously today and hopefully finish them.

I'm not sure what I'm going to cast on next, but I am certain of one thing - it won't be blue. Seems like it's been all blue all the time for the last few weeks. Time for something completely different. Happy Wednesday everyone! Don't forget to check out the links at Tami's Amis for the usual (and unusual) inspiration.

Love. The. Socks. Seriously, those are too cute. I hear you on the need for a different color -- can't wait to see what you choose!

I work with a huge Dr. Who fan and she would just love these socks! Too bad I haven't learned to knit yet. Although everyday I see something that makes me think it's time!

Ah you have conquered two of my most dreaded fears, knitting socks and doing colorwork! They look really cute I can't wait to see the final product!

The socks are amazing! I also like blue but I can see why you'd want to choose another color next :) I can't wait to see what you choose!

OMG, those turned out soooooooooooo cute. I'm completely clueless about The Doctor except that I see people referring to Tardis on their blogs and on facebook. Cute cute!

Those look real neat! What is TARDIS?

I hate when everything you are working on is the same color!! I don't know why, but it gets so boring. And it also gets to the point where I sometimes have to take a break or I don't even like the project anymore as I'm so sick of the color!

Oh I love your tardis socks. I haven't knitted any socks with letters yet, but I do love these.

I've been trying to stay away from my needles, while I learn crochet. I've been stumbling across so many knitting projects that I like, they I do find my needles calling to me... but I'll hold off for a bit longer.

The socks are awesome. Are these for you or someone else?

Your socks (ok sock and a half) are awesomsauce! And I know where you're coming from with the color monotony. Last month I had a lot of red going on.

Your projects are looking great. Both beautiful shades of blue, but I know what you mean about using too much of the same colour

Oh my goodness those socks are amazing! You are one heck of a great knitter, I'm blown away! I know what you mean about needing a new colour though.......it is so fun to pick new projects!
